![]() Before he can do so he is approached by Dr Liz Everest who talks him down. Unable to deal with the grief he heads to a bridge intending to jump in front of a train. This Catalonian series is centred on Eduard Marina, a man who blames himself for the death of his wife, Elisa, and two children. ![]() I'm not sure I'd recommend it, but I wouldn't say to avoid it. But it wasn't a show that captured my attention and held it till the end. Mostly I wanted to see if it got better, what happened, and if I was right about what happened. ![]() It always picked up near the end of each episode and I'd end up watching another, but it still felt more like a chore rather than enjoyment at times. I guess he realized that he loved his version of Eliza more than any of the others, and he belonged in his own reality, but if he didn't know that going to another reality was even a possibility then he wouldn't have needed to learn that lesson in the first place. He just messed up multiple realities for other versions of himself, but it was never going to change anything in his own reality. The ending was 'eh.' We know why she was there, but what was the point in sending him to alternate realities? should have just allowed him to recover and move on. I saw the "big reveal" coming nearly from the start. I mean if I had to watch that wedding scene, or hear that song, one more time I was going to loose my mind. I remember what happened before, just show the change and get on with it. Mostly because thing seemed to drag on with footage of driving and walking etc that wasn't necessary, and repeats of whole segments leading up to a minor change. Just be patient with the overused and kind of everlasting drama, it'll all make sense and you'll get some single-episode-cliffhangers which you will either hate or love! LOL I've seen plenty of parallel universes and time travel stuff such as The Butterfly Effect, Mr Nobody, Star Trek, Steins Gate, Life Is Strange (this is a game) and I have to say this is at the same (and sometimes even a higher) level. It's much more enjoyable (and totally different) with the original voices. I highly recommend you don't watch this show dubbed but subbed. It's wonderful when a "new" story starts in other universe because we have to pay attention to every single difference and details in situations, things and characters personalities. Had I been the scriptwriter, I would have increased his IQ a bit. ![]() How on earth would he rush on things? Do you want him to have some powers and by changing one thing being a renowned genius? Sorry, but we have a normal skilled adult man this time! Anyway, after some "trips" you get kind of mad because the MC doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes. I see some people complaining about this series being slow, however, that's the idea: An ordinary guy realizes he can travel through parallel universes but he is neither a scientist nor he's read about time travelling in his whole life. It's a mixture of Spanish, French and Portuguese to me and it suits the whole plot so well! It's just not the same without their Catalan nicknames or swear words or songs! Oh, and last advice: watch it with the original audio and English (or whatever language you prefer) subtitles. It's an amazing and epic romance/drama story, with a little sci-fi twist, all without being too cheesy. The acting and the costume design really makes you think actors are younger/older in each universe and really give you an idea of past and present. The sceneries and photography are amazing! Pay attention to how the colours play a big part in each universe. The chemistry between Eduard and Elisa is amazing, even though Andrea Ros is 25 (my age!) and Pablo is in his forties. I can see how the first episode turned some viewers off, but do not give up! This show is just incredible! It really makes you think about your choices in life and how everything in the future can change because of it. I stumbled across this show and, by its trailer, I thought it would be just too silly, but decided to give it a try because I'm a sucker for time travel/parallel universe plots and, of course, drama and tragedy. ![]() I always try to find foreign tv shows and movies to watch, maybe because I like to see the difference between directing styles and I love both French and Spanish productions. I created an IMDb account just to write a review about Si No T'Hagués Conegut, or If I Hadn't Met You, if you're watching on Netflix in English. ![]()
